Vero Beach a.k.a. Velcro Beach

Sunny, some wind, some calm, some clouds. Maybe rain shower later today.
We've been in Vero Beach for a few days, relaxing and working on boat projects in the cool mornings. The picture shows us with the sail up for the first time (Genoa), cruising down the ICW with a 15 knot tailwind. But you needed to pay attention as the wind direction was variable and the shallows were seconds away if you weren't paying attention.
Yesterday we bent on the main sail, about a 4 hour project to get all the running rigging connected up and working correctly. It's a big, heavy sail and the boom is chest height off the deck. Using main halyard and boom lift - you lift the sail into position and then feed in the batten cars into the mast gate. Eventually it all fit, we'll see if it all works on a future test sail!
