Sunny San Diego

San Diego, oh San Diego. It's so nice to say San Diego. We've been here for 5 days now, and it still feels great to us to have finished the first leg in our big journey. It has also hit us that this is the LAST STOP in the USA. Our small little list we came to San Diego with has grown into a much larger list.
Within the first few days of being here, we got caught up on laundry and Tom worked on some electrical wiring, for example: moving some lighting fixtures around and pulling the wire for the cockpit speakers and vhf radio. Also, Tanga got a well deserved boatwash. The last time we washed Tanga was when we were in Santa Barbara. It was time for us to wash all the salt off her tops and sides.
Yesturday, Thursday, we decided to play tourist and we visited the San Diego Zoo. We called a cab, waited 30 minutes, called cab company again, cab showed up within 5 minutes. The ride to the zoo was a quick and easy 8 minutes and best of all, we were dropped off right at the front curb. We enjoyed the zoo for the next 5 hours and left alittle before the park closed. We walked the entire park, saw every exhibit, ate, and rode the skytrek from one side of the park to the other side. All in all, the San Diego Zoo is the best zoo we have ever visited.
Today, Friday, a winter storm is hitting southern california. It is grey, cool, and rainy. An all day rain. It's surprising how one rainy day can make us so unmotivated all day long.
Tomorrow, we are renting a car and running our errands. It should be alot of fun running around again in a car! Remember, we haven't driven a car in 2 months!
