We are alive and well; we just haven't gotten around to our "comprehensive post".
After our out island tour, we have been hanging around Musket Cove for the past week. Beyond the usual cookouts and frolicking in the water, not much else to report.
We did see a wildfire the other day. Turns out, the village on the island choose a very windy day to burn the old vegetation off its garden to make room for their new planting. Well they did this on a very windy day and the fire got away from them. For 5 straight days the entire island went up in flames. Thankfully, no houses or people were lost. But it was very neat to watch at night as the island glowed like a volcano.
Yesterday we had a full day, typical of our time in this anchorage. The day started with sunrise coffee in the cockpit, then off to do laundry. Then get 10 gallons of fresh water for the tank. Then we decided to treat ourselves to 9 holes of golf for a hard day's work. Since Monica hasn't golfed in 15yrs, she was able to have fun, but not quite ready for the pro tour. Her best hole was a 6 on a par 4 and her worst was an 11 on a different par 4. Tom's putter failed him as he 3 putted most of the greens after getting there in 2 usually. Thus he put up a massive 43 for the round. After that we jumped into the shower. We then capped the night off grilling up some burgers on the island.
Today the plan is to get out and do some snorkeling and relax from yesterday's hectic day.
