where is the time going?
06 January 2010 | but Jason's feeling better
Capt Rich
Where is my hammock? Where is the 24hr/day relaxation that the glossy cruising magazines portray as an image of the cruising life?
Now, I can't honestly say that cruising isn't relaxing or at times restful, but I can honestly say that we have no more spare time now out cruising than we did while I was working 65hrs/week, while earning my platinum frequent flier wings by June of each year. We have been in San Blas now for over a week, and I have no idea of where the time has been going. Between boat projects and dealing with sick crew members, time zips from breakfast to dinner before I've sometimes even managed to start work on the items I intended for the day.
For those concerned, Jason seems to be doing fine now, having beat back what ever bug he had, but we are still waiting on some final lab work and follow-up Dr. visits just to make sure he has a clean bill of health. Of course, just as he gets feeling better, now Lori's been hit with something and I'm not feeling well either! This is my excuse for not taking advantage of our WiFi internet we are receiving out in the anchorage from the San Blas public library and not posting a bunch of photos. For those hoping to see a little photo essay of San Blas, hang in there, I'll bring our camera into the plaza tonight and put together a little photos essay for Thursday's Blog post.
