01 December 2010 | my hiding place was found.
The Blow is over and after sitting for two days through 40Kt winds with gusts in the low 50s, we are happy to see it over! We don't have a wind instrument, but we got those wind readings from our "Dancing Partner" SV Francis Lee. We were trapped on the boat for two days so the kids are definitely ready to go ashore and so are the Captain and Admiral! To pass the time the kids did extra home school, Lori organized the food lockers, and I just spent the time working on the computer without feeling guilty that I was missing something off the boat.
Lori also found out that each time I made a trip back to the States I would bring back a few more bags of Brown Sugar and Peanut butter. Well, we now have enough Peanut butter and Brown sugar to last a sail around the world. When I was interrogated about why we had so much Brown sugar, rather than pleading the 5th amendment I decided to come clean and admit that it wasn't just butter I've been putting on the "healthy" oatmeal she's been giving me for breakfast! So much for my Pepe's Taco lunch I wanted now!
