Another day goes by filled with what have become just run-of-the-mill sights and sounds here in Mexico. Tacos so good you almost cry, street markets and a little boat drama mixed in for good measures.
We are getting ready to take a land trip to Guadalajara, Mexico later this week right before Lori and the kids fly back to California and leave me alone on the boat unsupervised for the month of March. So I'm going to call the month of March, "Street Cart Appreciation Month".
That's about it for today honestly, just relaxing here in Barra having old friends and new ones aboard for evening drinks and having a great time.
Here's a few photos taken over the last few days of fun.
Sailboat aground while at anchor during the low tide in the Barra Lagoon..at least it wasn't us...but it's still not fun to see.
Santiago Taco Stand. You won't find a "A, B, or C" food grade plackard on food carts, but what you will find will bring a tear of joy to your eye!
And yes...they are just like in Baja and very Good!
Santiago Flea Market Candy Booth...choices....choices....choices.
Notice the fire resistant flip Flops while he is making candied pecans. They were so good our $50P bag didn't last 2 minutes!
Amy waiting in line for some fresh berries. You can tell that the Santiago Flea Market isn't targeting locals, but the tourists and gringos that take over this area during the winter months. We heard more English being spoken than Spanish, so we knew the prices would be higher!
Taco Time...pork carnitas. We at at this carnita taco cart two years ago and I can report that it was just as good this year! But be careful, the green salsa is not just hot, but FIRE!
