More of the same, Paradise

The crews from Lea Scotia, Bay Wolf and Trumpeter just left after another great potluck. They were disappointed that I didn't make fresh bread, but they settled for some Trader Joe's corn bread, which I call corn cake! Ice is always a bit hit at a cruising potluck as is any type of fresh salad and we had both tonight along with great company.
We plan to head for La Paz after Amy finishes up home school over on Bay Wolf and I called Marina Palmira today on the VHF to make reservations for a few days. It will be great to top off the batteries with shore power and hose THIRD DAY down with unlimited fresh water, but the big thing will be spending a day at the "lavandaria" or Laundromat! We haven't done laundry since leaving San Diego on Oct 27th and most of the crew of THIRD DAY ran out of clean undies a few days ago!
While in La Paz we will take advantage of the large stores to reprovision and make some mechanical repairs as well as taking the kids out on educational outings. We pan on staying there through Thanksgiving before heading back out to the anchorages. It's just fabulous out here so why spend time in a big city marina?
Everyone is pretty tired from all the activities and is also looking forward to some rest. I spent most of the day working on the Baja Ha-ha DVD project while the kids and Lori spend the day on the beach after their homework. I'm making good progress, but the more I work the larger the project becomes with all the photos and video clips we have of the event.
We should soon have real internet access and be able to post some of the amazing views of the area.so stay tuned and be sure to check back on the older blog posts to see the updated photos once we get into La Paz.
