Another Perfect Sunset at Sea

We are now comfortably at anchor in Bahia De los Muertos (or as they are renaming it, Bahia De Los Suenos or Bay of Dreams). For those interested in stats, the 61 nautical mile trip from La Paz took us 10.5 hours, we had an average speed of 5.8kts, and we motor sailed 68% of the way, or 7.1hours. For those that could care less about the stats, I give you yet another perfect Sea of Cortez sunset! The location tracker point I put on the map, is just north of the anchorage where the above photo was taken. Typically we would not approach an anchorage at night, but we have been here before and could follow our exact GPS track back into the wide open anchorage, so we took our time departing La Paz.
We hooked two fish, but lost them, so we are still fishless since Cabo, which is killing us all, especially Jason, who became spoiled with the large number of fish we were catching on the Pacific side of Baja.
We did have some excitement when Amy threw-up in the V-berth last night and we spent the morning doing some laundry to clean thing up. She seems fine now, so all's well.
Jason's 10th Birthday is tomorrow, and we will celebrate it today with a party at the resort, where he can run around instead of waiting until tomorrow when we will be at sea.
We plan on skipping Mazatlan and heading for San Blass, which is a 300 nm trip of about 60 hours at 5kts or 2 ½ days. Our oil incident set us back a few days, and the boats we were hoping to cross with have already left to take advantage of favorable weather, but we will meet up with them on the mainland.
There are no new problems to report now as of 1348hrs on Sunday December 14th, but the day's still young, so knock on painted teak! Both Amy and Jason went swimming today in the warm water, which adds to the difficulty in imagining that Christmas is 11 days away. To help us get in the mood, perhaps I will string up my LED Christmas lights on the boat tonight and imagine dense fog out side, while putting a few ice cubes in my socks just to set the mood? Or maybe I will just say I did, and sleep with the boat hatches open again, ya, that sounds much better to me!
