San Sebastian del Oeste, Jalisco, Mexico
08 June 2016
Our roadtrip took us to San Sebastian del Oeste, an old mining town in the mountains. The bus ride from Puerto Vallarta is about 1 hour and 40 minutes. The town sits above the town at an altitude of 4,856 feet.
Stepping off the bus was literally “a breath of fresh air”, mountain air, much less humid and hot than downtown. We thought that it might actually get cold at night and brought jeans and jackets, but it never got that cold.
The place we stayed was having some construction done so we were the only ones there. (They didn’t mention that when I made the reservation.) It was very ‘quaint’ with water that came out of the sink as a dribble and a very low door jamb to the bathroom. Isn't that right Brian?
