Costa Rica
24 February 2017
I don't know what it was about Nicaragua, but we were happy to be past that country. We are in Costa Rican waters! Woo hoo!! It feels good to be here. It's a bright sunny morning, calm waters (no wind) and we can see land!
We have been cruising about 50 miles offshore for a couple of days and land is a welcome sight.
I want to fish! We received two new lures from my other son, xo, and I can't wait to make them work! They are going in the water today!
We actually have plenty of food on board. Yesterday we had to ditch 2 pounds of ground beef, didn't make it. It seems we have so many leftovers and we have definitely not gone hungry.
When I woke up this morning, Brian said I just missed a bunch of spinner dolphins and whales, it looked like they were having a breakfast frenzy jumping all over. It was the end of Brian's watch, he's been up since 4 and it's 7:30am now. I'm feeling all refreshed though ;)
So, we are moving a little slower than our first day. The current today is 1 knot on our bow and I am catching up on our blogging.
