Fwd Shop Area

White Squall's workshop is located in the forward section of the vessel just aft of the chain locker.

White Squall's master cabin is located just forward of the vessel center to provide the least motion in a seaway.

The salon or great cabin in White Squall is located just aft of the galley and allows the individual cooking to be part of the group around the table.

Hydraulic Anchor Winch

White Squall's hydraulic anchor winch was built by Smith Bros. in Victoria. The main drum has 50' of 7/16" chain connected to 250 feet of 3/4" Nylon anchor rode. The main anchor is a 30 Kg. Bruce.

White Squall's Last Haulout

The annual haulout! Not a big problem given the size of the vessel. Just a matter of power washing and repainting the antifouling. As White Squall only has two through hull fittings, greasing and maintenance is not a big problem.

Hydraulic Anchor Winch

White Squall's hydraulic anchor winch was built by Smith Bros. in Victoria. The main drum has 50' of 7/16" chain connected to 250 feet of 3/4" Nylon anchor rode. The main anchor is a 30 Kg. Bruce.
The winch also has a gypsy on the side that is often used to send the captain up the mast.
Both the main winch drum and gypsy can be individually controlled and are both variable speed. The winch is specified for 2 tons.
