Bligh- warmer today

The alternator came in as planned yesterday around 1500. As usual, there are some minor differences between the old unit and the new, whippy dippy replacement. Said differences are mounting holes. Yes holes. One is too big, one is too little and one is not threaded. I can deal with the big one ok and I can deal with the one that is not threaded ok but the one that it too small is a problem. Simply drill it out, you might say. Easier said than done at least at 0600. What's time got to do with it? Well, the hardware store is not open at this hour. My very expensive battery powered drill, used about 10 times has decided it does not like cruising. Soon, it will sleep with the fishes. An early trip to the hardware store is in order and said store is a bit of a hike from the docks. Guess I will bundle up and take some coffee for the 2 mile hike in the snow uphill both ways. If nothing else goes wrong, which most likely it will, we might beat the next front to St. Augustine tomorrow. Meanwhile, Bear sleeps as I wait for the coffee to brew.
