A very swelly journey

19 May 2023 | Canna
Katrina Wright | Dry and very little wind
Very little wind but quite a bit of swell, we motored all the way, passing ardnemurchan and rum 5 hours later we arrived in canna (my favourite island). Don't ask me to explain why it's my favourite, I couldn't tell you. In 2011 there was a total of 12 inhabitants, so yes, it is small, wild and very beautiful. There is only one community shop and the most fabulous restaurant. The weather was cold and raining so we decided to make a curry and have a long sleep ready for the morning. But first we needed to book a table for tomorrow, having 10 tables of two in total (and benches outside) I didn't want to miss having a meal here. Last time I had lobster - watching the boat arrive and the chef go up to the jetty to collect. Priceless!!
