Leaving Canna for Rum

Beautiful day!!
Most of the other boats departed early, as the fog had lifted and it was a beautiful sunny day, still only 10 degrees but very pleasant in the sun. So off we went, raising the sails before leaving the mooring buoy, much to Phil's satisfaction!
Such a nice sail, Rum is not far from Canna, about 2 to 3 hours sailing, swell was minimal so looking forward to getting into the bay and going ashore.
The wind was between 5 and 10 kts, 10 is perfect for sailing, 5 not so much. Arriving at Rum at 1.15pm, so it was out with the dingy and off for a walk. Rum is known for being one of the highest small isles in the group of Muck, Eigg, and Canna and because of that it is known to be the cloudiest. Not today! Beautiful sunshine. Rum is also known for its red deer. After a bit of rockpool exploring, we walked the north side nature trail, treated to the majestic red stags in their early stages of growing their horns. Unfortunately no sign of the white tailed or golden eagles but we can’t have everything!
