So it's a change of sail to the bigger Genoa, forecast is for light winds in a few days so the larger sail will help us. Fuel will now be hand carried in canisters when we arrive in marinas in the north.

plan is to stooge (not a sailing term!) around Skye, until the forecast is for very calm waters so we can go west to the outer Hebrides, we've done Stornaway/Lewis and Harris so we want to explore the uist area, north and south .
As we left mallaig we passed a boat carrying a fuel tanker - one way of getting fuel to mallaig!! The sail was great, very fast and up to 23 knots of wind, we managed to reach 8knots of boat speed - which is fast!
