If you've been following us for even a short time, you know we are in Zihuataejo sort of participating in Sail Fest. An even put on for the last 17 years to help raise money for the local schools and students. Last year, they raised more than a million pesos for them. The anchorage if getting more and more crowded as boats stream in for the party. This morning, we had 25. Now in the afternoon, we are up to 41 with lots more coming. It's big festival that gets bigger every year. On Sunday, we stayed on board as many of the businesses are closed and did a few chores and played more Mexican Train. Monday, we made plans to meet us with Jay and Terri off Cadenza, a couple we met back in 2009 in California and have been keeping in touch ever since. It was great to see them again for lunch along with a "crew member" (Don) that had just joined them recently and whose wife would be joining the group in a few days. It was great to catch up and swap stories. Wonderful people! Before we had lunch though, we ran across a vet that just might be able to get us the Royal Canin we need for Snowshoe to help keep him regular. Sure don't want him getting stopped up again. We also found a Mexican flag so we can fly it as a "courtesy flag" as is required when visiting in a foreign country. We had one in Huatulco but it flew off one night and needed replacing. Now, we are "legal". We did some more grocery shopping at a different store(sure didn't buy much) before heading back to the boat. Yesterday we made arrangements to have diesel brought out to Zephyr to top up our tanks again. No fuel dock so it has to be ferried out to the boat. We made arrangements for 200 liters to come which while no filling to tanks makes them better for our next trip. It's only about 330 miles back to Puerto Vallarta so we have more than enough fuel for the trip. The panga showed up with four big 50 liter jugs we had to muscle onto the deck and then siphon into the tanks. They brought along a HUGE(1 1/4 inch) hose to make the transfer fast and easy. Didn't take long and we call them later and they came back and took the jugs away. Tomorrow, into Puff and lightly brush the hull to get rid of some of the growth that's attached it self. We want a nice clean hull for the next trip.
