Tacos on the Street--YUMMMMM!

Bill/sunny and warm afternoons
Slowly but surly, we are getting better but it's been a slow trip back to wellness. With my bronchitis and Tracy's pneumonia, it takes a ton of drugs, cough liquids and pills plus nasal sprays and tissues to get past it. Add in the "rest" factor and we're moving along. On Monday, I gave a talk to about 30 people about our crossing to Fiji. What to do and what not to do, etc. with some show and tell(pearl ball floats, peg board for the galley, etc)and lots of pictures. Numerous questions but both the men and the women. Yesterday, we gave our second talk over at the La Cruz Marina across the bay. Again, about 30 people. Had to take a cab to get over there and back but worth it for the talk and dinner afterwards at "Tacos on the Street", a small restaurant we frequented when we were here back in 2010-2011. Fabulous taco and enchilada. That's all they make but you can choose from flour or corn tortillas and what you want on them--salsa, avocado, cheese. A side dish of sliced radishes, roasted jalapeƱos, and salsa is included to add even more to your meal. Absolutely WONDERFUL food!! Just as good now as it was years ago. As for the protein, it's only ribeye steak, that's it. Half the tables are inside and the rest are lined up taking half of the road outside the restaurant. Cost:$22 pesos for the tacos and $35 for the enchiladas. That puts it at $1.18US for the tacos and $1.88 for the enchiladas. We each ordered three with different toppings. We've looked forward to this meal for months. Bad thing is that it's a costly taxi ride there and back.
Our son Xander came down to see us on Wednesday and one of his friends is joining us this afternoon. With the two of us not quite up to par, we still got Zephyr sort of put together so she wasn't a mess. Beds were cleared of what we normally have stuffed on them and most was put in "dock boxes" on the marinas dock in front of the boat. Sure made it easier to get the clutter off the boat. They will both be here till March 2nd and once we are both really better, we will leave the marina(still paying for our slip so we can get it when we come back)and sail and anchor out for a day or two. It's always fun to get out with Xander and do some sailing and I don't think his friend has been out on a boat as big as ours. The weather has been great lately though the mornings are still frigid by what our bodies are used to. We are using blankets in the night and early morning.
Heading back for lunch before our trip to the airport.
