We set out early today, a no wind peaceful morning, for Highbourne Cay in the northern Exumas. We spent a few hours crossing the Northwest New Providence channel, then came around the west end of New Providence just off of the Lyford Cay area, with its lovely beaches and big yachts. Then we were back on the Great Bahama Bank, with its electric blue water and somewhat freaky 10' depths. Avoiding a few shoals along the way we made it to Highbourne in time to anchor in front to the little beach at the north end.

A lovely place, but even the northern most Exumas now are crowded. There are probably 20 yachts here, 5 of them mega-yachts. The marina is pretty full and the inside has another 4-5 boats.
