Hasta luego Symphony, muchas gracias, love Steven & Lisa xx

We have returned to Spain to meet the new owners of Symphony, Arek and Iwona, to run through all her systems.

We're back, overalls in hand!

As quick reminder, at the end of the season in 2019, we decided Symphony would be put on the market and we would start the process of buying/fitting out a blue water yacht to head off into the yonder. Well, what with Covid-19, the restrictive lockdowns over the last two years and life in general we have [...]

Our month at Sant Carles

Well, it is true to say, August in the Western Mediterranean becomes very, very busy and expensive. Dia de Arroz

Dia de Arroz translates to "day of the rice" and is essentially Sant Carles De La Rapita's harvest festival.

What a feast & Steven becomes an apprentice

Not content with taking us out on their boat, Jordi and Rosa kindly invited us to their home to celebrate the Fiesta de Santa Rosa.

The SRD Rock

20 August 2018 | Greenwich 3
Lisa
After making sure we were well stocked with all the necessary provisions, we set out early this morning towards Altea.

The scenery began to change becoming sandstone and red mountains and more steep-to.

We had plotted a choice of three possible anchorages for the night and chose Greenwich anchorage 3 - so called as all three possible locations were very close to the Greenwich meridian i.e. the zero line of longitude.

We passed from Western longitudes to Eastern longitudes only a few hundred metres before the anchorage.

Within the anchorage, Steven noticed a rock which was not charted but he has now updated this on the electronics and it will be updated to all users of Navionics.

It is called the SRD Rock!
