Not content with taking us out on their boat, Jordi and Rosa kindly invited us to their home to celebrate the Fiesta de Santa Rosa.
Chores before explore
No wind this morning, so with engine on we entirely motorsail this passage with Menorca just in view in the haze, we will visit there in a few days' time.
The anchorage in Pollenca is very busy and you anchor in between the moorings in as little as 3 meters which is unusual for us as Symphony has a 2 metre keel. We normally like to anchor in a little more water.
Typically the wind accelerated as we were trying to anchor but we managed to select our spot and our trusty Rocna dug in did the job.
Despite the fetch across the harbour, we topped up the diesel tank from our Jerry Cans and were pleased to note that we have only used 40 litres in the last month.
Tomorrow will be a day of chores, shopping, filling up the water tanks from bottled water, filling up our Jerry Cans from the local petrol station and finding somewhere to have a good scrub ourselves.
We may not need to have a scrub as the dinghy trips in 28 kts of wind forecast in our anchorage may indeed provide us our bath surfing the fetch.
