Parade of Lights

Colin and Evelyn got back from their travels safe and sound, and as much as we enjoyed our time together, Leslie and I were very happy to have them back. We spent another few days in Charleston doing boat projects, laundry, and provisioning, and now we are on the move again.
Last night was the Lighted Boat Parade, which was pretty spectacular. We especially enjoyed the decorated kyaks and row boats (each oar was lighted green for starboard or red for port, and the cox was dressed as Santa). In the photo you can just make out Santa water skiing behind the sailboat.
Today was a short day. We did't leave until mid afternoon and just went far enough to clear the Wappoo bridge (which has restricted openings on weekdays including being closed from 0600 to 0900) and the Elliott Cut (which is quite narrow and has strong currents, so can be tricky).
The next few days are predicted to be quite cold (lows in the upper 20s, highs in the 40s). We are so glad to have heat!
