We left our anchorage early in the morning and motored up Calibogue Sound and the Beaufort River to dock at the Beaufort Downtown Marina, where we stayed on our way south. We arrived in time for lunch in town and enjoyed revisiting some of the shops on Main Street. Leslie and I (Anne) took a horse and carriage tour of the historic town which was lovely and educational.
Somehow we took no photos in our short day on the water, so the mirror image photo above was actually taken a couple of days later. It was so beautiful and serene that I couldn't resist filling it in here.
