Well, it was a night of fireworks! Yesterday was some sort of local celebration called Riverfest and they had fireworks in the evening...actually one of the better displays I've seen in quite some time. Not to be outdone, nature provided her own display at about 2am with a thunderstorm that had us heeling 10 degrees in our slip as we listened to the hail pounding on the deck. Today, as expected, the entire town was closed, but the laundromat was open so we have clean clothes...provisions will have to wait until we get to Houghton. As for our photography, fireworks seem to require something more sophisticated than a digital snapshooter...
