A Fish!

With most people heading out, we got ourselves organised and un-rafted from Vanilla. Lots of sticky slimy mud holding our stern anchors in extremely well. (Probably has something to do with the 'long drops'!). We got away about 10am and had a good sail to Robinson anchorage. On the way we tried the lure from Windy on our venetian blind cord reef and hooked a fish! (Took us a while to notice!) A few minutes later we hauled in a wonderful Spanish mackerel, much to our shock and delight. Finally!! Our first fish! We both had photos with the fish but to give credit where it's due, Graeme did put out the lure, haul in the fish, kill, gut and fillet it. So I suppose it's his fish.
In the anchorage, we had Smarty and Quintessa over for dinner and I did the coconut-poached fish again (half the fish fed 7 of us, with leftovers) and served up homemade eggplant and pumpkin hummus dips for starters. Another fun evening with great company.
