With great sadness we depart Thursday Island and Australia, could defiantly have used more time there, maybe a couple of years. We are on our way to Tual Indonesia for a quick tour and a lot of sailing.

Made it again

After one our more comfortable passages we made it from Fiji to Port Vila Vanuatu. Tomorrow with luck we clear in with Customs and immigration.

After a pleasant albeit short stay in Fiji we check out tomorrow and leave for Vanuatu . We have had to wait until a tropical depression north of here dissipated .

Another wonderful country

30 June 2015 | Vava'u, Tonga

After another tough passage from Pago Pago with high winds and confused seas we made it to Vava'u in 50 hrs. This record el Nino year is raising havoc with the nice Pacific trade winds. So far our time here has been great,a pod of whales and their calves swimming by one of our anchorages, exploring caves we could drive the rib into and exploring the many islands. The sailing is fantastic with lots of wind but no waves so I nice high speed smooth ride.

Back in the USA,kind of

After a very rough passage from Palmerston we made it to Pago Pago <American Samoa). With the exception of the commercial harbor we are anchored in, right down from the Tuna canning plants, the Island is very pretty. The only downside is the constant rain and gusty wind we are experiencing.
