We're Off!

16 January 2013 | Fort Lauderdale
Sherri, Windy and warm.
Jack's trying to sleep, it's 10:30pm, and get some rest before we cast off. He's not often successful when there are things to do. We are leaving in an hour for Bimini in the Bahamas. It will be choppy heading directly into the wind. Not really the best crossing, however the next opportunity might not be until next week. We've got about a 12 hour window, 50 miles to travel and a 10 to 20K wind out of the SE, right on the nose. We expect to travel about 5K. We're glad it's not a north wind, which makes the Gulf Stream impassable as far as we're concerned.
