January 25, Friday

We have the anchorage to ourselves. What a treat. The tidal current here rushes in or out at 5 to 6 knots and we schedule our snorkeling trips around the low tide. We try to be on site at least an hour before low tide and can stay about an hour after or until the current starts to sweep us away. We are missing our friends Joe and Carol on Just Ducky. I think this is the first year they have missed in something like the last 13. It was Joe who taught us how to hunt spiny lobsters in 2011.

Taiga is all alone, anchored behind us.
