Early morning departure saw us out the channel of Ensenada Honda for the 20 miles to St. Thomas, USVI. We had about 15knots of wind at 30 degrees apparent, so we raised the main and ran the engines: e.g. we motorsailed, the raised main adding about one knot to the speed we'd have made on engines alone, up to 7 knots. We chose to go into Lindbergh Bay, right beside the St. Thomas International Airport and a mile and a half from the shopping of Charlotte Amalie, the capitol of USVI.
We anchored off a lovely public beach with a Best Western resort at one end, among four other cruising boats. Our mission was to get to a Radio Shack for some computer items, then to a grocery store. Mission accomplished we taxied back to the beach, unlocked the kayak from it's tree on the beach and paddled back to Taiga and Toby, who was glad to have us back aboard.
It was hot, so we took a swim in the lovely, warm water, then relaxed in the sunset.
