Bus trip to Sayulita
07 January 2011
Fred
Ellen, Ian, Penny and I hit the road and caught the bus to Sayulita which is a village famous for a surf break and a beautiful beach and is a favorite vacation spot for the Mexicans. We got there and it was jammed packed on the beach but after awhile Ian and I were able to rent a waterfront table complete with 2 lounges and an umbrella for a mere $150 pesos. We hung there for about 4 hours and had beer and cold drinks while Ellen and Penny explored (shopped). Ian went body surfing and I finished my book, which may be my 10th or 12th during this trip.
There was a big rain here earlier and you can see where the river that goes through the village washed out a bridge and undermined several buildings, the public restrooms being the victims. See the pictures of Ian and me pushing them over.
