Sayulita II

The next day our friend, Mike Satterlee, whom we had not seen in 30 years or so, came to the boat and picked us up and took us to his and Sharon's home in Sayulita. It is a beautiful house overlooking a beach which is practically private as it is not easy to get to. Unfortunately I didn't think to take pictures of the house except the one from the beach but it is beautifully done with a great palapa roof and several levels. Mike and Sharon rent parts of the house occasionally and there was a Canadian couple escaping the harsh winter and they had rented the master bedroom which is on the top floor. The middle floor has the living room, kitchen and 2 bedrooms and the lower floor is a studio. There is also a small casita on the grounds that Mike and Sharon lived in while building the main house. It is accessible from the village by a dirt road that winds around and gets steep at places so Mike has two 4 wheel vehicles for transportation. Lovely place in an idyllic setting and we enjoyed our visit.
