Leg 1 Day 4
01 November 2014 | Still Turtle Bay
Woke up with a severe case of gout in both ankles and could hardly walk. So I was the one chosen to go up the mast to put in a new flag halyard. Made 36 gallons of water in 2 hours and got ready to go to the beach party. I elected to stay behind and let the Prednisone kick in as jumping off a panga in the surf may not have been a good idea. So just enjoying myself and reading waiting for the crew to come back and tell me all that I missed.
Tomorrow we start Leg 2 to Bahia Santa Maria, 240 miles away. Should be two days and a night with north winds of 15- 20 forecast so a good fast spinnaker run for Scout.
