Flora Farms

We arrived at Flora Farms on Saturday and checked in for our two week stay. Bob and Darlene Spriggs flew in and checked in later that day. They are right next door in Cottage 1 and we are in cottage 2 also known as Lavender. There are to be only 10 cottages built within the farm and all but 3 are up with one under construction.
How did we get here you ask? Well on our trip south on Tapatai in November of 2012 we were told of a great restaurant called Flora's Field Kitchen so we went out and took a look. It was about a half mile from the Puerto Los Cabos Marina and we liked what we saw. I noticed the site plan for the cottages but didn't think much more. So we enjoyed the season on the boat and when it was time to head North we picked up Bob and Darlene in Loreto for a ten day trip down the sea to Puerto Los Cabos where Penny and Darlene would fly home and Fletcher would join us for the bash. We had a rented car for provisioning and on the way back to the marina we said lets go to Flora Farms for lunch. Well somehow we wanted a tour of the property and the sales guys shoe horned us in and a couple hours later we were happy owners of two weeks of a cottage set in an organic farm!
Anyway, to the present, as this is our first year since the cottage was finished we are here for two weeks. We just finished our farm tour with Sonja who showed us all the fresh vegetables we can pick any time. I guess we will eat healthy for the next two weeks.
It is very relaxing here and the cottages are first class with all the great cooking tools you need. After all they are called the Culinary Cottages. We are here with the Spriggs next door and a couple we haven't met yet on the other side and the interior designer in one of the other cottages so we really have the place to ourselves. The pool won't be crowded at least.
More later as it is back to my Jack Reacher book and a nap.
