Casa Oliver
13 May 2015 | Puerto Los Cabos
Fred/cloudy with a few drops of rain
Took an excursion with Bob and Darlene to Casa Oliver for the day. The driver picked us up at 10 and took us to the house which sits on the beach just east of the Puerto Los Cabos Marina. The house is 12,000 sf and is a beauty with a killer view.
We met the chef, Hector, who is also a champion body boarder when not cooking. We had a delightful lunch of red snapper with veggies. Then it was back to relaxing with a book by the pool.
Later, before dinner, we went up to the theatre and watched a movie. It was an English movie called "The Snapper" and was about a young girl in a family of 6 that happened to get pregnant. I won't spoil the movie for you but it was funny and sort of stupid at the same time. Hector then cooked up a nice fish dinner with veggies on red quingo which is a rice and I'm sure I misspelled it. Finished off by a muffin of carrots, cinnamon and other spices that his wife baked. She and their 6 year old twin boys came out so we could meet them and Penny immediately tried to get them to play games with her.
We got back to the cottage about 9:30pm after a very nice day. This morning after being awaken by the woodpecker, I went over to the Field Kitchen store to buy coffee for Ernie and Mary and a cinnamon roll for me. Not much going on today but will probably just relax!
