El Fuerte to Mazatlan
24 January 2016 | Mar Rosa RV Park, Mazatlan
Fred
We traveled from El Fuerte to Mazatlan on the toll road and even though it was pricey it was worth it. Arrived in Mazatlan and proceeded to the Mar Rosa RV Park on the zona dorado, right downtown in the hotel district and on the beach. We pulled in and took a spot 5 rows back of the beach for $300 pesos per night complete with electricity and water. Not that we hook up to City water as we empty 5 gallon bottles into out tank so we always have purified water.
I started coming down with a cold that has lingered for about a week and has a nasty cough as a side effect. We were able to find a restaurant across the street and watched both playoff games. Also had a nice fish dinner. Next day Penny hopped the bus for the market and a walking tour of the town while I lay low nursing my cold. Stayed there 2 nights and then it was off to Sayulita, a favorite little town of ours.
We were lucky in several ways in that we got a great space at the Sayulita Trailer Park on the beach for $25.00 per night. Thought we would stay a few days but discovered we were in time for a 4 day film and music festival and surf contest. Still lousy internet thus no posts while we were there and I was still nursing my cold.
