Eileen and Charlie headed over to Indiantown Marina where they left the Tahoe and the Buck's picked them up.
Indiantown Marina is just east of Lake Okeechobee on the Indian River. It is a large place and stores hundreds of boats every summer. The reviews are good and Antoinette is a pleasure to talk to on the phone. We decided it would make a great adventure to take TARDIS to Indiantown around the the southern tip of Florida yet this year.
The plan is to put her back in the water in the fall like in 2017 and head to the Bahamas for 2019. Many people do this. Why not us?
It was interesting to drive a car. Charlie made it without any tickets! (for going too slow!)
The marina is cool. We met a few sailors while there to confirm this was a good choice. The original plan was for Charlie to make a trip down during the summer to do some work. We soon learned the boat would have to be moved to the work area at a great cost to be able to do the work ourselves so that planb was shelved for a early arrival, launch and do the modifications while in the dock and enjoy the comraderie of Indiantown during their fall party time.
On the way back with the bucks we stopped at an interesting artsy restaurant (name escapes us). Note the placement of the army canteen!
