Back From Our Fairwell Trip To Montreal

We flew to Montreal on June 22nd where my brother Douglas and his wife Linda picked us up at the airport. We immediately drove to our mother's residence for a quick visit before heading up to Saint Sauveur where they own a beautiful condo.
We had our own bedroom and received a five star treatment. Doug had to leave on a business trip during our second week there and he graciously loaned us his SUV. This enabled us to visit Lynne' mom and dad and mine on several occasions, since we do not plan on returning to Canada for two years. During our stay at Lynne's parents, we had a royal dinner with my favorite meal, veal. We visited family and friends to bid them fairwell before we leave on our sailing adventures on August 1st.
We visited Lynne's brother Marc & Nicole where we were received like kings and treated to a great dinner prepared by Nicole at pool side. We drove to Three Rivers to enjoy our long time friend Mario Dumas, his spouse Andree and dog Fred. We were impressed by Mario's cooking and hosting abilities along with his endless supply of wine and Calvados. I do not remember the last time we went to bed at 1:30 am but we will remember this time.
We were invited for a sail on Lake Champlain N.Y by long time friends Eric and his wife Line. We motor sailed to Mallot's Bay where we used to anchor and raft our boats for the weekend, when we were living in Montreal. Line a great cook, treated us to two great meals in very romantic surroundings on Lake Champlain.
We also visited my cousin Marie and Jocelyn in St Remi and Gervaise Bombardier in Laprairie. Finally we had a good time with Denis Robitaille and his wife Colette at a local grastronomic Italian restaurant that he had chosen for us. We had met in the early 90's at work and have kept in touch ever since. They are retired and enjoying it as much as we do.
We greatly enjoyed our trip to Montreal due to the friendship and hospitality we both experienced there. We thank every one for making us feel so welcomed and at home. Special thanks to Lynne's parents as well as Linda and Doug for being so generous.
