It Warms Up In California

We left Monterey Bay at noon on Tuesday August 17th for an overnight passage to Santa Barbara, 212 miles South.
It was tiring but we enjoyed good winds from the North West as usual and reached Cojo Bay a mile East of Cape Conception. The last two hours it was blowing 33 knots. Because we were tired we elected to go to Cojo Bay for the night. It was a bit rolly but we slept like the dead.
We left Cojo Bay and arrived at Santa Barbara Marina by 17:00 where we were for a few days. We visited downtown and it is beautiful. We decided to extend our stay two more days to visit the old Presidio and the Old mission built by the Spanish.
Our next destination was Santa Cruz Island some 30 miles south of us for a night a anchor and on to Santa Catalina the next day.
All is well and we are really enjoying our new lifestyle. It is physically demanding but the payoffs are big.
