Returned to the boat mid September with a few jobs to do. The biggest one was to fit our newly purchased watermaker. Normally this would be considered quite tricky, but in 35 degree heat it was something else! I kept wondering where all the water on the floor was coming from before I realised that it was pouring off me! Still, got it all completed, and now we have as much fresh water as we want. There was also the matter of antifouling, oil change,fuel filter change, etc which in the heat wasn’t much fun at all. However, all done and then off to Aruba for a few days to relax (ha ha!). Managed to sail all the way, which was great. A bit rolly, but still satisfying. Aruba very different, and very much a holiday place, but none the worse for it. Next stop Colombia - very exciting, as I’ve never been to South America.
