Dry Dock

05 April 2015 | Houston
Tomorrow I'll fly to New Bern to haul out for a bottom job and change the pitch on the Max prop. I plan on spending a week at the Marina getting Rose ready for the trip north then head home for a couple of weeks. At the end of this month I'll fly back to Arapaho with my middle son Matthew. We plan on spending 4 days sailing and motoring our way up from Arapaho, NC, to Portsmouth, VA, on the intracoastal canal.

On the second leg from Portsmouth to Cape Cod I'm hoping John Deil will be able to join me. We sailed the long offshore legs together last year and made a good team. (John is a good cook and I'm a good dish washer.) The last leg will be a 2 or 3 day run across the Gulf of Maine to Rockland, Me.

Before I leave I am going to buy a package of minutes for my Sat phone and try to keep this little blog up to date.
