Alligator River
22 May 2015
Our Bellhaven departure was much cleaner than our arrival. We sailed up the Pungo River and then motored the Pungo River Canal until we met the Alligator River. The little Alligator River Marina was not much more than a Shell gas station but a good stopover before crossing the Abelmarle Sound.
My power issue surfaced on this leg. I knew the prop was over pitched but did not realize the extent of the problem. The engine revs maxed out at 2200... smoking up the transom. I did not even have enough HP to charge batteries properly. Address this when we make Norfolk.
