Bad Weather

30 November 2010 | Charelston South Carolina
Sherry Rain 30-40 knots wind
It`s been a week since our last update and its not all been good. We ran aground 4 times in the matter of an hour when we were trying to anchor in an anchorage called Cabash creek the charts said we should have enough water under the keel but with all the shoaling and no dredging the chjarts can not be trusted. We managed to pull ourselves off once and sailing vessel Outreach tied onto our halyard and pulled the boat onto its side and pulled us off. The weather is horrible it has been blowing like stink ( up to 40 knots of wind)we have spent the last three days tied up to the wharf at Charelston city marina waiting for the weather to change, on thge bright side Charelston S.C. is beautiful and the people here are so friendly. We have spent the last few days walking around the city and downtown core visiting one of the oldest grave sites dated in the early 1600's. We also spent time going through the flea market, this is where the slaves and goods were traded.
