Hobe Sound/Peck Lake Florida
17 December 2010
Sherry, Warm & Sunny
We made it to Vero Beach Florida where we spent a few days doing provisioning and waiting for the weather as over the last couple days we've had 25-35 knots of wind. Vero Beach was full to the point where boats were rafted up three deep to accomadate all the boats that came in to get out of the winds and tie up to a secure mooring ball. On the 15 we headed south where we made it to Hobe Sound / Peck lake where we love to anchor. Once ashore in the dinghy you walk about a 100' and you are on the atlantic ocean side and a wildlife refuge for animals as well as a turtle sanctuary. Brad, Todd and I walked the beach where Brad collected seashells for his daughters and Todd and I collected seashells and seabeans that I later colored and used to decorate the xmas. The weather is getting much warmer and it is more comfortable in the cockpit of the boat. I have added a few pics and 1 special one for my 3 grandkids that i miss dearly.
