The Keys

26 December 2010 | Marathon Florida
Sherry Windy Very Windy
We have made it to a place called Marathon Florida and we are tied to a mooring in Boot Key Harbor and lets just say the Captain and crew of Thar Be Dragons are very happy to be tied to a ball. The winds have been blowing like stink 25-40 mph winds last night, all day today and apparently tonight and tomorrow, but it is rest well needed (if you can call this rest). Yesterday (Christmas day) I spent the morning sun tanning and having a cocktail on deck then I prepared the turkey and stuffing for the dinner ahead. I then tanned some more. Brad and I took turns going with Todd to get water for the boat as we ran out of water, not at a good time in the middle of Todds shower (that will teach him to take shorter showers). There are about 200 other boats tied up here and a sailboat came in today and tied up next to us they are from Calgary and they are also heading to Cuba. Hopefully we will be able to dinghy ashore tomorrow for showers and do some sight seeing and hit a dollar store for Cuba. I have attached a few pics. of Boot Key Harbor a well as other photos. Enjoy all.
