on the Bahama Banks

Well it is 8:55 pm and we just got welcomed on to the Bahama banks to what is called the Hens & Chickens someone came over the VHF radio with a pre-recorded message of chickens cockadoodle doing, It was just to funny we had a good laugh over that especially after we just had 4 cruise ships on our stern and we were trying to figure out where they were going and what direction, luckily the radar helped us with that. The sail from Lake Worth to the Hens and Chickens has not been comfortable the seas were supose to be 3-4' and 8 seconds between waves and the winds were suppose to be 8-12 knots out of the NNE. Most was true but some of the waves were more like 5'so it was pretty lumpy but worth it as we are now in the Bahamas even though we can't see the nice turcoise water. The wind kept blowing harder and harder and before morning it was blowing around 25 knots on the nose so our speed dropped to between less than 2 knots and 4 knots and the waves were around 6-7' they were worse than the Gulf Stream.
