Good weather, bad day. The forecast was for one of the best days yet that we`ve had in the boat yard. All boat works are weather permitting, varnishing ias a task that is one of those. I thought all the base work had been done the day before but on peering my head out of the companionway had found that the epoxy was going to take alot of sanding to get it to where I needed it before I put the second coat on. After sanding the cockpit it was to late in the day to put the second coat on so I figured I would Varnish the companionway doors when I noticed that the first coat was a bit cloudy anyone who has sanded epoxy knows how gloomy my prospects were. I spent the rest of the day in a powdery haze and the vacuume cleaner filter blew off and blew white epoxy dust everywhere and I mean everywhere.
Man am I special today I have the Midas Touch. Todd was looking for a reason to exit stage left before my head started spinning 360s, so he went for a vacuum filter and picked up some stuff for dinner. We enjoyed a wonderful meal that he prepared and sipped a fine wine as we enjoyed the sunset going down over the masts in the boat yard. kitty enjoyed it as well except for the wine.
