Piper's Last Tonga Anchorage

Wednesday night (Halloween) was our last true remote Tongan anchorage and we dropped the hook at Kelefasia in the H'Apai group. We arrived a bit late due to trick-or treating festivities earlier that morning where Piper joined a group of kids that rowed around in a dinghy - trick-or-treating among the anchored yachts. Piper was dressed as a mermaid (see gallery pics) and the kids had a blast. Lolo took this shot in amazing sunset light after a nice beach excursion that afternoon. The next morning, we sailed to Nuka Alofa and Lolo escorted Piper to NZ - where she flew on to Anchorage and back to school and "real life." I'm still in a bit of shock at the sudden loss of my family from the boat. Piper will be missed very much over the next months, but we hope to get her to New Zealand for another visit around Christmas. Now - the focus is getting the boat ready to go for our last 2012 passage - about 1100 miles to Opua, NZ.
