On Passage to Opua, NZ

We left Tonga yesterday morning under bright sunny skies on passage for NZ. The weather window looks good and we've got confirmation from several other weather folks to go, so we left - along with a whole slew of other boats. We've had the pleasure of sailing foro the last 24 hours within site of Aleris, an Outbound 47(?) that we are obviously well matched with. Moonwalker left everyone in the dust, but we talked over VHF yesterday evening so they were not too far ahead. It is already colder. Last night I put on a pair of jeans and a jacket. I've not worn a pair of jeans for almost 6-months and wow, does it feel weird! We're currently sailing through bands of floating rock or pumice from a recent volcanic eruption in the area. All is well onboard.
