One Heck of a Party!!!

How lucky can we be? Not only did we have this fantastic opportunity to cruise the South Pacific for two and a half years, but now we come home to such wonderful family and friends that appear to have really missed us! Isn't this a lovely group - and this is just part of the crew that came to wish us a wonderful homecoming at the party on Saturday. Thank you to all who came out - it was great to see so many of you and give and get so many hugs. Darlene outdid herself with the yummy Mexican food and Laurie with the beautiful decorations - thank you both so much for such a wonderful time. A big thanks to Larry also, for all the behind the scenes work. There were a few missing faces (and you know who you are!!!), but all in all the Vienna and Houston/Vanderwerf families and friend groups were well represented.
You might notice this entry isn't being posted until several days after the party. Why, you might ask? Well, we have been blessed with so many breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drink invitations since stepping onto the dock a week and a half ago, that we haven't had a chance to sit down and write! What a life!!!
From a couple of the comments posted, it sounds like some of you may think our blog has come to an end. No such luck!!! :) We plan to keep it going throughout our transition to life in "the real world" and as we plan our next adventure. Speaking of that... we are leaving Oceanside Harbor Saturday morning to head out to another island. Okay, it's only Catalina, but it is an island! We might even drop by San Clemente Island before heading south to our new home at Pier 32.
A last big thank you to all of you who have sent such great messages, been by to see us, have had us over or out for meals, and held spectacular parties in our honor! You have truly made us feel welcomed home!
