Here I am, thinking about what is needed to take WINDSONG by water from Ontonagon, Michigan on Lake Superior to Fort Pierce, Florida. The general plan is to leave Ontonagon around the first of August ... and arrive in Florida in Mid-October. The route will be ... Lake Superior to Lake Huron via the Soo Locks, then by Detroit to Lake Erie to the Erie Canal. Then down the Hudson River to NYC. And then after a short sail down to the beginning of the Intracostal waterway and then down to Fort Pierce. Coming along to help will be my long-time sailing friend Tom Stahl.
