Pacific Crossing 2-20

Andrew Rosen | clear skies and good winds
Before I send what might be the final blog for this crossing, I must first apologize to the wrongfully libeled Skipjack Tuna. Last night was sushi dinner part two. I had the opportunity to try skipjack nigiri, and it was quite good (actually as good as any other species on the tray)! All those Skipjacks that we caught and released during our Mexico and Pacific Crossing 10+ years ago, plus those that Nomad caught and released in Mexican waters this season were unnecessarily saved from the dinner table.
Now to more mundane activities: Last night was more of the same-good winds on the port quarter and continued rolling from the beam waves. Everyone served their final overnight watches without incident. As you can see from the photo I just emailed a short time ago, we are within a couple of hours of dropping anchor at Nuku Hiva.
That is all for now, absent any truly worthwhile events, before I depart Nomad for my return home.
